Manifesting Mondays: Magic Rock

“Anything that reminds you to be grateful is helping you turn your life into gold with gratitude, and that’s exactly what this magical practice is about.”

Thanks for tuning back in for ‘Manifesting Mondays’, Part Deux. I’m honored to bring you one of my favorite and easiest practices – “The magic rock.”

As far fetched as this assignment may sound, it’s something I carry along with me on tougher days and always makes me smile when I find one of mine, randomly, in my bags or room. It’s the tiny reminder that I have at least one thing to be grateful for today or any day.

FIND A ROCK. I know.. Easy right? Find one that feels good when you hold it, comfortable and smooth. You can grab one from your local park, lake, anywhere. I have two.. One of them isn’t exactly a stone. It’s a small shell that’s shaped more like a star fish. For my birthday in Nov. 2007, I treated the most hardworking, honorable person I know to a cruise around the Caribbean…my mother. I never witnessed such humble appreciation in my life. It was so extreme, it makes me choke up when I think of it. Growing up having close to nothing and never meeting a blood relative in her life other than her children, this was EVERYTHING to her. She said thank you in so many different forms , so many different times, and still talks about it like it was yesterday. Gotta love her. Back to the rock – she gave me this shell in St. Thomas. I’ve held it dear to my heart ever since.

The 2nd stone: I often visit a small shop on St. Marks and ruffle though their wide selection of energy crystals. Last year I purchased a small citrine and I have used it as my ‘magic rock’ ever since.

*Citrine is the stone of light and happiness. It does not hold any negative energy and therefore never needs to be cleansed. Citrine brings clarity to those who wear it and helps to manifest anything you want to bring into your life. It activates your imagination, bringing more creative visions to a clearer mind and a more positive outlook on life. Powered by the Sun, Citrine warms, cleanses and energizes the body, energizing and strengthening the solar plexus.*

I’m fascinated by the connection of energy and earth – and how it can be connected to my daily attempt of alignment. Crystals are it. Here’s a dope list I found online.

Place your special rock in a place where you can see it before bed (night stand, pillow side, bureau, etc.). Before you hit the sack, think of the best times of your day, magic stone in hand. From all the moments you are appreciative for (even on our worst days, breathing and walking, you can ALWAYS think of one), choose the BEST one. Think, replay, relive that moment in your mind, and speak the magical term ‘thank you thank you thank you. ‘

Do this every night in addition to your appreciation list daily (as instructed in Manifest Monday chapter one, last week!)

I love you. Feel free to reach out comment, email, chat, and let me know how this feels to you so far. Let’s work together. ‘Till next week… Manifest and love.

This chapter is dedicated to my personification of strength, unconditional love, class and honor. Myriam Garcia, Queen Empowered Woman.
